Love and CareWe train volunteers and send them out to serve the needs of the elderly and disabled in local nursing facilities and in their homes.

Education:  We help provide education regarding the value and dignity of all human life from conception to natural death.  We staff the Human Dignity Center in Camas, where we distribute educational material trained volunteers to answer questions.

Support:   Our servants provide support for people at different stages of life.  We knit hats and scarves for those in need, we help distribute Human Dignity’s bank of durable medical supplies, we do clothing drives, and via Human Dignity’s center, we are there for anyone stops by to help locate local resources, listen to their fears and concerns, pray in the prayer room.

Prayer:  Our dedicated servants spend hours in prayer to support our works and the needs of those we serves.   Deep prayer must be at the heart of our servant’s work.

Ultimately, we plan to help provide care at Human Dignity’s Mount St. Joseph’s Villa once it is constructed.   This will be a facility designed to provide the range of services, which often currently require placement in a traditional nursing home, in a loving less institutional environment designed to honor the dignity of each person. The residential community will start with an adult care home to provide loving palliative care for those approaching death and will then expand to include: skilled care, assisted living, adult day care, retirement homes and other related housing projects.

ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED REGARDLESS OF ABILITY TO PAY

For Life

The John Paul II Servants for Life will bring Christ’s love to the community by reaching out to support the dignity of individuals at all stages of life.

Love as our Foundation

Drawing on Benedict XVI’s words in Deus Caritas Est, love is what will make our work truly different.   All our works must be grounded in loveTo this end, we are committed to  begin each work with prayer and all the servants are strongly encouraged to spend time in contemplation without which they can not hope to make a real difference.
